Somehow we were fortunate to move into a neighborhood were everybody is generally the best neighbors a person could want. Not only have they been humoring me with this whole exercise experiment, but are now calling and emailing for impromptu pushes. It's like living in the awesomeness factory.
Today we officially brought 2 new pushers into the club. Heidi didn't push for time- the age old "inability to work hard due to lack of deodorant" excuse. She did go tandem with Becky on a wimpy little practice run however, promising to wear some old spice next time and put forth some real effort. JD yelled out a little nugget of encouragement to the ladies pushing that I can't repeat here, but if you want a good laugh, you can ask about it at the next meeting.
Mush!
The other noteable events were the fact that 5 records were broken today and we also had our 1st almost pass out. I won't post anymore details here out of respect for the man and his family, but please people, know your limits before you hang out with the manly crowd ;)
Record 1 was Bobby coming out and setting a new club record in the 100 yard sprint push with a smoking 24.49. (We pride ourselves in our timekeeping, and times have a margin of error of no more than plus or minus 3 seconds)That's the way to be a man, man.
Bobby showing that winning form as Becky cheers.
The 2nd notable record was Becky demolishing her personal best of 41.49 with an impressive speed gain to 39.06.
Daniel grabbed the next record with best time of anyone under 6. He didn't quite make it the whole way, but went all out for 55 seconds and that was flatout impressive.
We added a new event- going the distance, and I managed to get the farthest by reaching the 1st lightpole on the right
I've forgotten what the 5th record was
Those are going to be some strong kids people. Maddy and Daniel full power
It was generally decided that it would be best to take a day off before attempting more manliness. See you Monday afternoon.
